Impact in the Parallel Processing of IHM-Plasma Using the Earliest-Deadline-First Algorithm for the Task-Scheduler Realized by Hardware

Abstract—This work studies the impact in parallel processing of Interlocked-Hardware-Microkernel (IHM) Plasma microprocessor (IHM-Plasma) by implementing Earliest-Deadline-First (EDF) algorithm hardware task-scheduler block that belongs to those task-based operational systems, such as related real-time systems (RTOS). IHM-Plasma presents Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) architecture. The main results have observed this study show running EDF has increased tasks executed per second 174% while a system with 14 active comparison original software. developed great potential use Hard Real-Time Systems and others where rigid control deadlines is essential hold many tasks.
